Westchester Medical Center nurses' aides protest
Nurse's aides protested outside Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla after they were laid off without proper notice, they claim. The nurses were barely given any notice before the hospital's administration eliminated about 260 positions in June, protest organizers said. The group says the aides received just 10 days' notice, with no severance pay and benefits that expire in August. (July 24, 2012)
