UPDATE 5:18: The Rangers need for Dempster becomes even more apparent now: injured starter Neftali Feliz will miss the rest of the season after it was determined he'll need "Tommy John" ligament replacement surgery. The Phillies dealt right fielder Hunter Pence to the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday, trading away their second outfielder in a matter of hours. Shane Victorino was shipped to the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier in the day.

An MRI on Mark Teixeira's wrist performed Tuesday revealed no structural damage and he will be re-evaluated in three days, the Yankees announced.
The Yankees' first baseman -- hitting .256 with 20 home runs and 71 RBI -- was diagnosed with inflammation in the left wrist and received a cortisone shot.
