Protest over sale to town of Monroe movie theater

Protesters rallied over the Town of Monroe's decision to buy the former Monroe 6 Theater on Saturday. A "Save the Monroe Theater" Facebook page and word-of-mouth alerted supporters to the "Rally to Save the Theater," where hundreds were predicted to attend in hopes of re-opening the now defunct theater.
