Clarkstown police officers have added another routine to their daily beat: Randomly patrolling the town's schools during class hours in an attempt to thwart any danger in the wake of the Newtown massacre.
Since Tuesday, armed and uniformed officers have been spending a sliver of their shifts roaming the halls and making their presence known, Clarkstown Police Chief Michael Sullivan said Friday.
