New City neighbors of Dr. Victoria Vovchik, who killed herself and stabbed her 7-year-old daughter 31 times, told a tale Friday of a woman in love.

A little more than 20 miles away in Englewood, N.J., neighbors of Dr. Kristappa Sangavaram, the girl's father, were shocked to find he had a child with a woman other than his late wife.
