East Ramapo eyes cutting kindergarten to help plug $7M deficit

The Board of Education in the East Ramapo Central School District told a group of about 25 concerned parents Tuesday night that it is weighing all available options -- including the elimination of kindergarten -- to help close a budget gap of a nearly $8 million next year.
