For Rockland firefighters, safety a top concern

Last week, Rockland County Fire Director Gordon Wren watched as his 22-year-old daughter donned a wet suit and jumped into an icy pond to save a fellow firefighter during a simulated water rescue in Pomona.

"I stood there, I saw her in the wet suit and she just jumped right in," said Wren. "She did it. I was so proud of her."
