A fire in a mixed-use building in Monsey's business district left two families, including five children, homeless Monday, officials said.
The blaze began before 5 a.m. at the three-story brick building on 21 Main St. near Orchard Street, authorities said. At least 10 people from two families occupied apartments on the second and third floors.
