Nyack Center to host screening of Oscar-nominated AIDS documentary

The Rivertown Film Society will screen the 2013 Academy Award nominee for best documentary, "How To Survive a Plague," at the Nyack Center at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The documentary traces the role of the AIDS activist organization ACT-UP in pushing government agencies and drug companies into action as the AIDS epidemic spread in the gay population in the 1980s. The film is unrated.
