Rosh Hashanah on the Hudson
The Tashlich service for Rosh Hashanah, the start of the new year in the Jewish religion, is held at the waters of the Hudson River at Nyack Beach State Park in Nyack. Faithful Jews cast pieces of bread into flowing water to symbolize the letting go of sins of the past year. (Sept. 17, 2012)
