Simulated gunfire to be used for Indian Point training

People living near the Indian Point nuclear power plant in Buchanan might hear what sounds like gunshots this week.
Officials from Entergy, Indian Point's owner-operator, say the noises will be simulated gunfire that is part of a training exercise meant to test the plant’s security force.
They stress that the there's no need for alarm and that the gunshots are just a drill....
