State delays action on 2 East Ramapo complaints

The state education commissioner refused late last week to immediately intervene in two petitions brought by residents against the East Ramapo School Board.

One petition sought to stop the board from using taxpayer dollars to defend itself in a lawsuit, and the other wants to bar the board from making drastic cuts to school programs.
