State to East Ramapo: Special-ed violations continue

State officials have sent the East Ramapo school district a third formal notice stating that the district's programs for special-education students violate state and federal laws.

Parents in the district have charged in a lawsuit that Orthodox and Hasidic Jewish members of the East Ramapo Board of Education -- who form a majority on the board -- have used their positions to siphon public money...
