Martin Nolan, Executive Director of Julien's Auction's, holds a rare Vox guitar, played by Beatles John Lennon and George Harrison, built by Mike Bennett and Dickey Denney which was gifted to “Magic Alex” Mardas by Lennon in 1967, during a press call by Julien’s Auctions at Hard Rock Cafe New York on May 13, 2013 . The exhibit precedes the Julien’s Auctions Music Icons auction event to take place at Hard Rock Cafe New York on May 18. Harrison played the guitar while practicing “I am the Walrus” during The Magical Mystery Tour and by Lennon while recording a video session for “Hello, Goodbye. ”.
