About Tipper Gore
Mary Elizabeth Aitcheson Gore (born August 19, 1948) is an author, photographer, former Second Lady of the United States, and the wife of Al Gore. She is referred to as "Tipper." She is also well known for her active role in the PMRC and voiced a strong opinion against records with profane language, especially in the heavy metal genre. Dee Snider of Twisted Sister was called before Congress to address these allegations, and many people view Snider as the clear winner in the case, who at some points left Tipper speechless.
