Airlines have canceled most flights in and out of New York through Thursday morning as the region's transportation system braced for a nor'easter expected to pack wind gusts of 50 miles per hour, along with sleet and snow.

The region's major airports -- Newark Liberty, LaGuardia and Kennedy -- will remain open but Port Authority officials are warning passengers to check with their carriers...
