There has been "no progress whatsoever" in Consolidated Edison contract negotiations, a union spokesman said Friday, as talks resumed for a second day and the lockout stretched into Day 6.
John Melia, a spokesman for the 8,500-member Utlity Workers Local 1-2 said the situation was "grim."
"It's apparent to us what they want is to break the union," he added.
