The City of Peekskill is poised to get a permanent top cop.

Eric Johansen, 42, who has occupied the position on an interim basis for the past three months, will be named chief of the Police Department at a ceremony at police headquarters Friday.

His confirmation does not become official until a scheduled vote by the city's Common Council on Monday night.
