Friends and family gave a former Tuckahoe police chief a final salute Tuesday morning.

Representatives from police departments around Westchester County were at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale to pay their last respects to Chief Gerard Mignone, who died Thursday.

Mignone joined the Tuckahoe Police Department in 1966 and retired as chief in 2003.
