An elderly man who got married in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy died last week.

"Muzzy" Silverman, 97, married Muriel Siragher, 88, at the Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt on Nov. 8. The couple had been displaced from their New Jersey homes after the powerful storm.

The couple had been friends for 60 years and courted for five years.
