This week's trickle of post-Hurricane Sandy school re-openings will become a torrent on Monday when most districts in Westchester, Rockland and south Orange County are expected to resume classes.

Some districts indicated in announcements on their websites that uncertainty still exists about restoration of power and road conditions, but none said schools would remain closed beyond Friday. Calls...
