A would-be Lincolndale jewel thief was caught in the act by his intended victim over the weekend and fled, but didn't get away for long, police said.
Robert Yoxtheimer, 31, of Lincolndale, entered the home of a neighbor, 60-year-old Deborah Sarfaty, about 12:35 p.m. Sunday through an unlocked front door, State Police at Somers said.
