An overnight fire forced some Yonkers residents out into the cold air.
Fire officials say they arrived at a building on Carol Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Thursday and were able to quickly extinguish an apartment that was on fire. Fire marshals are looking into how a mattress caught fire and burst into flames.
