Metro-North is derailing the hopes of riders seeking a refund from the days when service was suspended in the wake of superstorm Sandy.
A spokeswoman for the railroad's parent, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, said the agency will not offer refunds to passengers who held monthly or weekly Metro-North tickets valid while service was suspended.
