A Mount Vernon man wanted in an assault was hit with new charges Thursday when police saw him on a city street with a loaded handgun, police said.
Kyle Williams, 28, of 531 S. Third Ave., was charged with felony third-degree criminal weapons possession, the Mount Vernon mayor's office said in a statement Friday.
