A Mount Vernon man was sent to a local hospital early Tuesday after a one-car crash in Bedford, authorities said.
Akiela Bennett, 22, was driving north on the Interstate 684 just north of exit 4 about 1 a.m. when he lost control, drove onto the highway's median and hit a tree, State Police said. Sleet and rain may have caused the crash, News12 reported.
