A Mount Vernon man was shot Saturday morning in front of a social club, according to police.
At 3:20 a.m., police responded to reports of a gunshot victim at 105 W. First St. and found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound in his abdomen.
The man was leaving a party at Sunsey Hall social club when he was shot. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.
