New Yonkers budget expected to win approval Saturday

Yonkers leaders predicted that eleventh-hour changes made to the city budget amid objections raised by the state comptroller will win the Council's backing at an emergency meeting scheduled for Saturday morning.

"We're confident that it will pass," Christina Gilmartin, a spokeswoman for Mayor Mike Spano, said Friday.
