Peekskill's new budget saves dozen jobs, but 18 layoffs anger residents

The jobs of more than a dozen Peekskill employees have been saved from the chopping block after their co-workers opted for early retirement and firefighters agreed to give back wages and holiday pay to plug the city's budget gaps.
