A Port Chester man was sentenced to 18 years in state prison after admitting he stabbed another man to death on a downtown street in February.

Julio Cortez, 54, of 66 Poningo St., was sentenced by Westchester County Court Judge Barry Warhit on Tuesday on the basis of his September guilty plea to first-degree manslaughter, Westchester District Attorney Janet DiFiore said in a statement Tuesday.
