Thousands rally for union; Con Ed talks to resume

As temperatures reached the mid-90s on a sweltering day in Manhattan, thousands turned out for a rally Tuesday in support of some 8,000 union members locked out by Consolidated Edison.
Gathering in Union Square, protesters waved signs and chided the utility for the labor lockout, which reached the two-week mark on Saturday and continues with no end in sight.
