Westchester, Putnam to see beefed-up holiday police patrols

Holiday shoppers and revelers throughout Westchester and Putnam can expect to see an increased police presence at parks, commuter hubs and retail centers into the New Year.
From Friday through Jan. 2, local and county law enforcement as well as State Police assigned to the two counties will be making more sweeps through public places that attract crowds, officials said.
