Westchester youth programs get $1.3M from feds

Westchester County has received $1.3 million in federal grant money to help economically disadvantaged youth in Yonkers, Peekskill and Mount Vernon, County Executive Rob Astorino announced Friday.

The money from the U.S. Department of Labor will go to fund two programs and is being funneled through the Westchester County One-Stop Employment Center, Astorino said in a statement.
