Yonkers police charge man in 2004 overpass slaying

Eight years after a 48-year-old woman was killed when a chunk of concrete was thrown into her car as she drove south on the Sprain Brook Parkway, police have charged a Yonkers man with her murder, officials said Wednesday.

Alberto Plasencia, 26, of Yonkers, was arrested Tuesday by the cold case unit of the Yonkers Police Department and charged with second-degree murder.
