Yonkers to crack down on muni code scofflaws

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano is ready to create a special tribunal to concentrate on code enforcement scofflaws and alleviate a backlog of court cases.
The new tribunal, to be staffed with administrative law judges, would hear routine civil cases involving violations of the city code for trash accumulation, noise and other "quality of life" complaints, according city officials.
