A long-abandoned public school off Ashburton Avenue in Yonkers will be demolished to make way for a new housing complex with 121 multifamily apartments, officials said Tuesday.
Public School No. 6 was closed 30 years ago and had fallen into disrepair until the city's Municipal Housing Authority partnered with Community Builders Inc. to redevelop the property as mixed-use residential housing.
