Yonkers city clerk quits after four months in post

After only four months on the job, Jose Alvarado has stepped down as Yonkers city clerk, officials confirmed Wednesday.
"He is pursuing other opportunities in the private sector," said Adam Brill, a spokesman for Yonkers City Council president Chuck Lesnick, who received Alvarado's resignation letter.
